That Burger Place on Dumbell Street in Swinton (just off Station Road)

Only been open 6 months but they do the best burgers I've ever had. They do 2 for 1 on all burgers (when dining in) every Tuesday.

Have a look at their Instagram for photos https://www.instagram.com/thatbgrplace/

Not really mentioning this one for food, but the Age Concern Cafe on Chorley Road in Swinton has a pretty back garden / small allotment with chairs and tables. Maybe not recommended for a wet day in January, but a good spot for coffee once the sun comes out.

Captain Cod in Eccles next to Salford Royal hospital is most definitely the best in Eccles! We get our chippy tea from there at least once a month!

Smiths Restaurant in Eccles is a great favourite of mine.
Tasty and interesting food, relaxed friendly atmosphere, and great jazz on a Tuesday evening.

I would second the vote for Smiths, plus Pacifica Cantonese, which is next door to Smiths! I love both restaurants.

I would go along with that, nice food with a relaxed informal dining setup. The staff are attentive without being too fussy.

I love Vero Moderno on Chapel street. It's a fantastic Italian place with fab food and great personal service. And it's not just me that's saying that as it's now going into the 2018 Good Food Guide!
And Pier 8 at The Lowry is amazing food with spectacular views over the canal.

Monton in general is a great night out for both food and drink. The pubs especially cater for a wide range of tastes, from the Holts put in the shape of The Park Inn to small chain free places.

Brackman's Bakery, Leicester Road - For bagels and cheese
danish on a sunday morning.
Santos Kebab House, Cheetham Hill Road - Looks like it's in

The Thai Restaurant Dok Mali oppostive Swinton Civic Centre is excellent. Went for the starter and main deal, think it was about 9 quid. Great food and generous portions http://www.dokmali-swinton.com/

Also there is a really good Indian food kiosk in the Food Court at the Lowry shopping centre. You can get a gorgeous mixed kebab on naan bread with loads of fresh salad and a drink, all for about £4! Also a lovely vege option.

I would check out MediaCityUK. There are loads of great places to eat there now. The "splat" now also houses quite a few street food stands including the "hip hop ship shop". Try the beer battered gherkins. They are first class.

Can definitely recommend the Hip Hop Chip Shop. They provided the catering for the Start in Salford Christmas party last year when I was volunteering there, and it was brilliant. They regularly feature at the Manchester Food and Drink Festival, and they were there a few weeks ago for this year's event. Really good chippy!
