Start in the Park are running their annual 'Grow Your Own Vegetables Course' again this spring from 10th April. This is a FREE course for local Salford residents and will focus on practical, hands-on activities in the raised beds at the park. Numbers are limited so please book your place ASAP.

The course will include choosing the best location for growing, preparing the soil and compost, sowing seeds and caring for seedlings and identifying and managing pests and diseases.

This course is run in association with Salford City College, which means that members will need to entrol in the first session and there will be a small amount of paperwork to complete each week, which your tutor will help you with. On successful completion of the course, attendees will receive a certificate of achievement.

To book a place, please go to the Eventbrite link below. For more info, please contact Sue Jeffries, Horticultural Co-ordinator on 0161 351 6004 or email
